I have a customer who is a car dealer up there.
He was telling me several months ago that he was buying homes at $30k. I thought what a buy! Now I'm thinking maybe he over paid!

Yep, I’m kinda thinking that because this year Halloween falls on a Saturday, they are going to need all kinds of security because of that good ‘ol Detroit tradition of Devil’s Night(now called Angels’?). I’ll throw 110% of the blame of this year on the 111th Congress and their non-Stimulus bill, I think Rush mention how folks are really feeling down and out will really be a factor

=>
also got a good economic read that should help prepare you for next weeks GDP numbers, here’s the short of it if it interest you;

Macroeconomic Analysis

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2369929/posts

Macroeconomic analysis broadly focuses on three things:

National Output: GDP

Output, the most important concept of macroeconomics, refers to the total amount of goods and services a country produces

Unemployment

The unemployment rate tells macroeconomists how many people from the available pool of labor (the labor force) are unable to find work.

Inflation

The third main factor that macroeconomists look at is the inflation rate, or the rate at which prices rise.

I can see where it would be very tempting to buy low, hoping to sell high later.

The trouble is, politicians can see and smell a two high stack of nickels six miles away, and they feel absolutely entitled to take them, especially in these hard times.

Every politician in Michigan would instantly have their hand in your pocket and in a couple seconds you would look like you stepped into a piranha feeding frenzy.

“As a former Detroiter (52 years) I really understand your plight. When we finally decided to leave was when we opened the front door of our house to see a young man brandishing a weapon at his friends on our front lawn. That did it for me. Good Luck in California and I hope that you become the best EMT / RN that you can. You are in my prayers.”
