"I think that the shortage of flu vaccine is phony. Canada has plenty of vaccine. When I went to get my regular flu shot, the line was full of Canadians, saying that they had all had their swine flu shots two weeks ago, that they were done with their inoculations for the swine flu, but Canada was short on the vaccine for the regular flu."

I live in Canada and I contacted my local clinic to obtain either Swine (H1N1) or regular flu shots in my town. I was told they aren't available and no-one knows when they will be available. I was advised to "call the government" to make official inquiries and/or complaints.

I walked home and had a coffee.

That’s weird, because the COSTCO clinic in Bellingham was overwhelmed with Canadians, who told everyone that they had already received their swine flu vaccine, several weeks ago, but that Canada had been shorted on their supply of regular vaccine. The nurse who was giving the vaccine, repeated the story, saying that they had had to cancel two of the COSTCO clinics because they had been so overwhelmed by Canadians, looking for the regular vaccine. The nurse said that it was puzzling, that Canada had been able to get the vaccine that we were not able to get.
