With Bush in the White House, this would mean nothing. But with Obama in the White House, it’s clearly another power-grabbing move, intended to set aside the normal rule of law.

Not that the rule of law concerns him anyway, as he has frequently shown already. But there are limits to how often he wants to show his hand, and limits to what the media can cover up.

If you combine this with the order given two months ago to cease testing for H1N1, it becomes obvious that he is not concerned about an actual epidemic. But he is creating a crisis, a panic.

He got into the White House in large part because Paulson picked a key moment to scare people out of their wits with the financial crisis—an October surprise.

And he used the earlier Swine Flu panic to speed up the confirmation process and get Kathleen Sebelius and her cohort of abortionists and killers in charge of national health care. Also, to get the public aware of the threat that was likely to return in the fall, and to get WHO to officially declare it a “pandemic.”

Now, he’s preparing for something else. Presumably, among other things, he intends to use it to ram Government Health Care through without the usual discussion—perhaps with just a 50 vote majority.

I do now wonder how many Republicans or Conservatives these days are for extension of provisions of the PATRIOT ACT now that Obama is President.

His is kind of like Clinton launching cruise missiles on supposed terrorist camps right right before the Impeachment Vote, to wag the dog and get everyone’s mind on something else.

Well, then, from now on, every flu deaths or any unexplained deaths could be blamed on swine flu by MSM until Zero gets his health bill.

Yeah...because Bush never hyped a disease.

Bird flu?
SARS?

I get it that this move at this time is quite ludicrous, but as an epidemiologist, I also get it that this particular flu is not killing the traditional flu victim...29 and otherwise healthy is not the traditional victim.

I’m not saying this will be the atrocious outbreak they are pre-hyping, but the potetntial is greater than a general flu and it strikes in a nontraditional cohort.

Exactly. Hop on board the cattle cars, everyone. We're going on a one-way trip.

Or they are getting ready to release the real killer version of Swine Flu or say it has mutated. I wouldn’t put anything past these beasts.

“Health authorities say more than 1,000 people in the United States, including almost 100 children, have died from the strain of flu known as H1N1, and 46 states have widespread flu activity. So far only 11 million doses have gone out to health departments, doctor’s offices and other providers, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention officials.”

How many people have died of the other strains of flu? bunch of horse manure.
