best preventative - Vit D3; do you have any info on 3k dosage; do you get blood work to test for levels?
Although I’ve have read plenty of literature in the past on the topic I don’t have reference material handy to point you to, and have not yet had blood levels checked, but I intend to by year’s end. 3,ooo IU is certainly above avg recommended dosage for Vit D3, I can tell you that. I break up a 2k tablet to get there. Some take more...I would not suggest you take more than their physician recommended, and yes, having Vit D blood levels checked prior to supplementing, is the ideal approach. Hopefully that test will drop some as it’s a little pricey yet. Years ago it was thought it was a potentially toxic Vitamin and RDAs were kept low. The thinking has changed quite a lot.
I have been taking 5000 IU per day for about a week. Hope it’s not too much. I plan to only do it for about 3 months and then get my levels checked. I got my information here:
