Now that global warming is starting to fade away, I wonder what their next panic area will be.
I believe Newt has aligned himself with Cantor, Jindal, Jeb, McCain, Mitt, et al, ... GOP-lite.
Proving that Pawlenty "might be" a good to fair "follower", someday, but never a "leader".
It is always thus with moderates.
The two parties will be the ‘Democratic People’s party’ (AKA, the Marxist party) and the other the ‘Constitutional Republic party’.
One party striving for complete government control of your life and a one world government.
The other a party for and by individuals who believe in limited government and a return to the principles of the Constitution. Their motto being ‘He who governs least governs best’ and ‘Live Free or Die’.
If Santorum made the same stand in PA against the Specter nomination, Pat Toomey would be a Senator from PA and perhaps Santorum would as well.
I noticed that. But the reality is that several of the others endorsed Hoffman before Palin. Some were on with Hoffman a week or more before Palin.

Many have “followed’ in advance of Palin. Fred Thompson, Dick Armey, Michelle Bachmann all endorsed Hoffman before Palin did.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad Sarah made the endorsement. But she wasn’t the trailblazer here.
Though her facebook post endorsing Hoffman went beyond just endorsing Hoffman. She is calling for Conservatives to take back the Republican party and make it actually stand for conservative principles. She is trying to take a leadership role on that front.
Has everyone seen this: “The Most Important Number in Politics Today.” Still, the Democrat is way ahead of everyone in fund raising in this important race in upstate New York.
Doug Hoffman is the Conservative alternative in this race (or Hoffman by PayPal).
Markos Moulitsas, founder of The Daily Kos has endorsed Scozzafava. Dede Scozzafava has also been endorsed by NYSUT, the largest labor union in New York, and an affiliate of the National Education Association.

Scozzafava has also run in past elections on the Working Families Party (a progressive party associated with ACORN) line on the ballot.
This lady isn’t a RINO, she is a big “R” libeRal democRat. Mark Steyn has coined the term DIABLO for her and others like her. Democrat In All But Label Only.
There are also at least 17 unprincipled DIABLO enablers in the house who have donated funds or otherwise supported to this LibeRal democRat's DIABLO’s campaign. They include Boehner, Cantor, Sessions, Hensarling, Brown-Waite and McCotter. I don’t have a full list, but I will be looking for it. These unprincipled enablers should be targeted for elimination in the primaries next year.
Also, perhaps those of us who donated to the RNC or RCCC should ask for our money back so we can support the conservative candidates of our choice.

I’m hoping Hoffman is running a good campaign and the people in the district don’t have a backlash against outside involvement.
Right. Look at the immeasureable damage done by a scumbag by Arlen Specter who was in a position of power, but did nothing-NOTHING-that would ever justify the “R” after his name. He filled a seat and Republicans could point to it and say “Look! He has a committee chair, and he is ours!”
He was NEVER “ours”. And his woman with the “R” after her name won’t be, either.
This is why I will NOT give money to the RNC. I give to individual candidates, but not a cent to the RNC.

None, I would say.
I get about 3 GOP fundraising letters a week. I always take the postage-paid envelope, place a piece of paper with PALIN 2012 written on it inside, and mail it back to them.
I should say that I, too, know there is an admirable Conservative party. I was a member until I became convinced the dynamics of elections were making the far left more entrenched. I would love to rejoin a Conservative party with a chance.
It seems some strong conservative Republicans are looking for a new home. They will bring in some money and some following, but where will it all coalesce?
Perhaps Republicans (as a group, not each one) find it easier to support a candidate running as Independent rather than Conservative Party, partly because the general public likes the idea of independence, but is a bit wary of the Conservative Party. It looks like conservative Democrats have a similar preference, more willing to call themselves Independent than Republican.
This configuration of preferences tends to strengthen a group of candidates that have a lot in common, namely they are both independent and conservative. As more of these are successful, the idea of a new party becomes more viable.
The result would be a party of Independent breakaways joining with and giving more credibility to the Conservative Party, while the Republican Party is left with their liberals to join with liberal Democrats and leave the far Left out in the cold.
The message to the GOP left should be clear. We are sick of liberals in any party.

Intentional, perhaps? Is there a better way to disrupt the Democratic opposition? We should watch for similar situations where liberals endorse non-Democrat candidates.
Sarah Palin might be a lot of thingd but Leader of the Conservative movement isn’t one of them.

Have to admit, I wasn’t really following this until Palin weighed in. How in the hell can Gingrich endorse THAT?
