Big shock here - MSNBC's Rachel Maddow agrees with the White House, which is the Fox News Channel is not really a news organization.

Sarcasm aside, on her Oct. 23 MSNBC program, Maddow attempted to justify the Obama administration's tact over recent months with Fox News. She laid out a series of events over the past few days that indicated an escalation of the feud between Fox News and the White House, specifically an effort to exclude Fox News from the White House pool.

"Well yesterday the White House said that Fox would not be among the networks invited to interview Ken Feinberg in one of these round-robin pool interviews and the other networks came to Fox's defense," Maddow reported. "They said they would bow out of interviewing Mr. Feinberg's themselves unless Fox was included, so Fox was included."

If liberals weren’t hypocrites they would be nothing.

Actually...I’d say since the early 90s...that ABC, NBC and CBS haven’t been real news organizations. Even the mighty 60 Minutes...probably started to lose its news-edge about six to eight years ago and is just an opinion piece today.

CNN hasn’t been an independent news organization since the late 80s.

The last bit of independent journalism and news in America? It died with Paul Harvey...that’s the sad truth.

The double-standard argument is a VERY dangerous one to make. If this argument turns into a "FOX balances MSNBC", then what happens if MSNBC turns out to be a stalking horse organization and changes its tune and switches to a hard-news only format? The case against FOX becomes much, much stronger. This isn't a double-standard, hypocrisy fight. It's a First Amendment fight. scr*w what all the other news organizations do or don't do. FOX has a CONSTITUTIONALLY GUARANTEED RIGHT to do what it does. End of story.

"hypocrites"

The truly amazing thing is that they don't see it. They have this vision of themselves as strictly news presenters with no bias. Which is of course hilarious. Like Dan Rather when questioned whether he thought the N.Y. Times was liberal, he said no they were straight down the middle. The real truth is libs, like Maddow and the Obama admin, can't stand the fact that there is a news org. that doesn't kowtow to them. Period.
