Im in NY where Ill be headed to the Fox studios in a few hours to tape the Glenn Beck Show. The segment Im doing will be aired Thursday as part of a week-long series called The New Republic, which is Glenns look at the radical agendas of the Obama Administration. Last night, with Pat Caddell as his guest, Glenn made the connection between the trillion-dollar defcits Obama is deliberately running up and the Cloward-Piven strategy devised by two Columbia radicals to bankrupt the welfare system in New York in order to create a crisis that would generate radical change.
Although the show failed to mention it, this was a strategy first identified in a book I wrote a couple of years ago with Richard Poe called The Shadow Party. That book described the coalition of Communist and anarchist radicals, Democratic Party honchos, and multi-billionaires that the malevolent George Soros put together before the 2004 presidential campaign. The Shadow Party is now the party in power and running the show.
Beck also focused on Van Jones, a self-described Communist who is now the Special Assistant to the President for Green Jobs. Beck ran some revealing clips on Jones, who is a Jeremiah Wright radical a black racist and Ivy League elitist. Beck noted Jones radical past actually he became a Communist in 1992 and for the next 10 years was a member of a communist party dedicated to organizing a revolutionary movement. In his 2007 book The Green Economy, Jones blamed the devastation of Hurricane Katrina on white supremacy and the war in Iraq, which he blamed, in turn, on Americas need for oil.
Beck perspicaciously pointed out that Jones was the candidate of the Apollo Alliance which is a communist party of the green movement composed of social justice and racial justice groups. As I pointed out in Unholy Alliance, social justice (and racial justice) is a term that, when used by far left groups, is a code for a Marxist future despite the phony lip service they frequently pay to the private sector when they address a broader public. The Apollo Alliance had proposed an $11 billion budget for green jobs. They got it from Obama. Beck also pointed out that the Cash for Clunkers stimulus program was proposed by Jones. He omitted one other salient fact: Jones was picked for his White House job by the Soros-funded and -organized Center for American Progress (John Podesta, its head, was the head of Obamas transition team).
Beck asked rhetorically, was this all planned (rather than an ad hoc response to an actual crisis? The answer of course is yes. What is Jones real job? For an answer, check out Alinsky: From the moment an organizer enters a community, he lives, dreams, eats, breathes, sleeps only one thing, and that is to build the mass power base of what he calls the army. (Rules for Radicals, p. 113) Van Jones has entered the community of a trillion-dollar government and he is building his army.
Didn’t see this posted....and didn’t realize he was a guest on Beck’s Show....
Good!
Beck is the spellbinder and the sensation—and he tries regularly to draw attention to all that his show owes to the research of David Horowitz. I’ve followed and read David for years, ever since “Destructive Generation.” David’s just not a TV or radio guy, he’s print/internet media.
folks like this thrive on chaos and instability.
what a country.
I have his book “Unholy Alliance...” and it was a real eyeopener.
They tried to engineer the chaos....Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac....are key elements....with the CRA Act.
Of course and the morons at ACORN, Moveon, etc. follow lockstep. They were the ones protesting to get the mortgage qualifications lowered and now they are the ones picketing CEOs because the “evil” mortage companies failed due to the very same practices that ACORN et al demanded to begin with. Boggles the mind.
Break down the system and then they can impose martial law as an excuse to control things. Stalin would be proud of them.
A candidate’s friends and affiliations DO matter. B-O should have been kicked to the curb the first time the Wright tapes were aired. His friendships with Soros and Ayers SHOULD have disqualified him from EVER holding a public service job of ANY kind. I’m sitting here tearing my hair out. I begged my more leftist friends not to vote for this guy. I TOLD them what he was. I also told them that Hillary is absolutely no different. I asked them if they really, REALLLY, thought that they would get a better break from these leftists than the rest of us.
I pray to God that we have learned something from this. And I wholeheartedly wish we get another Joe McCarthy (just sober, this time...)
Soros is a monster
Jones is a communist
Podesta is a queer
Nice bunch!
Welcome to the jungle........
Well, speaking of Harry Reid, his son is running for Governor of Nevada:

Brings to mind The Great Outdoors (Dan Ackyrod/John Candy) the subtitled 'coon scene;
"heh, heh, heh, rocks on the trash can lids, that never works!"
So they can put rocks all over our trashcan lids, U S "'coons" will eventually come along and knock'um over and get the America we "own" anyway, no matter what(just ask King George III).
It's like a really bad science fiction movie.
I share your admiration of David Horowitz (since Radical Son), and very much wish he got more credit for the way he stands up to the fury of leftists who control this country’s educational system. He willingly endures much abuse at their hands to promote diversity of opinion (seemingly the only kind of diversity the left won’t embrace). He deserves our gratitude.
