So, by this logic - someone who slaps a pedophile for exposing himself is guilty of a Federal crime with more penalties than had the pedophile slapped a heterosexual person?? Orwellian Animal Farm here we come: “All Animals are equal, but some are more equal than others.” Good grief! This law places the government and law-enforcement in the role of reading motivations into someone’s actions and then penalizing what they IMAGINED their motive to be according to the special group to which the “victim” belonged.... and you see nothing wrong with this????? REALLY????? Violent crimes are already prosecuted. Why special protections with stiffer penalties for “special groups”?? Clear violation of the Constitution.
First of all, i never said that I supported this Hate Crime bill.
Second, this bill does nothing to protect pedophiles.
Finally, all one needs to do is to not physically attack other people and they will not have a problem with the law.
