Burned by the resulting firestorm of protest, the (National) Park Service agreed to get rid of Islamic symbol shapes in the Flight 93 Memorial, but they never did. They added an extra arc of trees, and they call it a broken circle now, but the unbroken part of the circle, what symbolically remains standing in the wake of 9/11, is still a giant Islamic shaped crescent.

Maybe the good people of Somerset need to go out there with bulldozers and tractors and re-shape that landscape
I sure as hell wouldnt want my ashes to end up in an islamic crescent if some creep killed me in the name of allah
Why the heck can’t they just have a simple stone monument with the names of the passengers?
Why do they have to screw around and turn it into a “liberal artist” employment project?????
Who the HELL Was in charge of this, huh? This is too Islamic for it to be a coincidence. How dare they desecrate the memories of the Americans who lose their lives to Islamic terrorism!
Is there any reason for the way it points other than aiming it at Mecca? Does the landscape already point that way? Is it somehow aligned with the plane’s flight path at the time of the crash? I’m just trying to find if there is any plausible reason for this other than “the artist aimed it at Mecca”.
Because creating a simple monument dedicated to the memory of the passengers and crew of Flight 93 would be "divisive".
This is no joke and a disgusting scandal
I mean, let's take it all the way to the logical conclusion, guys. Make an effin' fist!
The only names of the passengers on the plane on the monument that shouldn’t be there should be hijackers.

Either get rid of this obscenity, or eliminate the project entirely.
I understand that some remains of the flight 93 hijackers were recovered. Perhaps it would be fitting to memorialize them in a pile of pig dung.
