In the case of Sarah Palin's new book, imitation may not be the sincerest form of flattery.
When the failed vice presidential candidate's memoir hits shelves Nov. 17, it will have some competition from a lookalike tome that spoofs the title of her book.
"Going Rouge: An American Nightmare" bears a striking resemblance to Palin's book, "Going Rogue: An American Life." Both feature the photogenic politician in red, but the spoof has her against a backdrop of black thunder clouds and lightning, instead of the image of a blue sky scattered with clouds on the ex-governors book.
Going Rouge isn't a spoof at all but a collection of essays about Palin put together by Richard Kim and Betsy Reed, editors at liberal-leaning weekly The Nation, Entertainment Weekly reported. It includes work by regular Nation contributors, including Katha Pollitt, Katrina vanden Heuvel and Naomi Klein.
The book's publisher, OR Books, which was started by industry veterans John Oakes and Colin Robinson, said it "embraces progressive change in politics, culture and the way we do business."

Simple solution:
1) Go to book store
2) Pick up book and pretend to peruse it
3) Replace book cover down
4) Repeat as needed
Did this with anti-Palin magazine at supermarket, no longer at check-out!
Enjoy!
This as a sub title to boot. Nasty aren't they?
I picked on something even nastier as I channel surfed. One Jimmy Kimmel. Quoting Kimmel.
I hear Sarah Palin is going to be on Oprah. Maybe she should have gone on Maury first. A few laughed.
Ah, Maury Povich, I presume. The purveyor of degenerate behavior as entertainment. I still wish Sarah Palin would not go on Oprah. Old Oprah can mount a look that speaks of silent and absolute disgust- or patronizing pity whatever.
So it goes!
An American Nightmare would be a fitting title for a history of the Øbama years.
I wonder who owns the photo used? Susan Estrich at least used her own photo.
Trying to glide on the Best Seller list on the coat tails of another book? I’m sure it will be right up there with that book by Frankel, that was something about Rush. Lets face it, Palin is feared by the give me crowd. They don’t want her to run for a very good reason, she may win and raise the bar for women.
An American Nightmare would be a fitting title for a history of the Øbama years................. BINGO, you got it. Stickers to place on the cover of Going Rouge. Going Rouge is Going RED, is it not? Then “The Obama Years” is appropriate for the book cover.
Amazing how they say she isn’t ready, doesn’t have a chance and all the other blah; yet, look how many are in total fear of her. Their cover and title is meant to deceive - and satan is the father of deception! God Bless Sarah and her family!
LOL. Did the same thing with Obama magazine covers on the rack in the local grocery. I live in a red district of a blue county, so they didn’t sell well anyway. Never noticed any selling, and I usually go to that store twice a week.
“I look forward to the followup article where they count the book sales of these two books.”
