This “government” has become the enemy... it is both foriegn and domestic.

Take the media out first, then move quickly up the ladder.

Here is a piece he wrote in 2008, mentions his wife’s name in article (un-named author in article but last name of father mentioned).

He is a Secular Humanist>

So

He is also a non-believer.

Glad y’all got some rain up there. Our weather radio just gave us a flash flood watch. We could really use a good hard rain right now. Stay safe.

“The government can play real hardball and most of the fellow travelers in these groups, despite their big talk, literally wet their pants when when the Feds come knocking. Frankly, its funny to watch.”

I agree the government can play hardball. I expect a lot of IRS aduits to befall this group. Were I active miltary or law enforcement I would be a bit more stealthy. It’s not the 1700s, way too many ways the government can screw you.

I’m 59 in March, and I feel the same way. As P.J. O’Rourke once said, “Old age and experience beats youth and a bad haircut...”

And shooting an AQT of 236 beats spray ‘n pray.

I imagine it will be a split. However, I think the Constitutionists will strongly outnumber the Obamaites in the military while the Obamaites will strongly outnumber Constitutionists in urban police forces.

The National Guard units are going to be a big question. If ordered federalized and directed to advance against the citizens of their own states, I imagine they will resist. What the Obamaites might try, however, is to deploy National Guard units from one state in other states, in the hope that they will not be so sympathetic to the local population.

The bottom line, frankly, is that I am convinced that Obama is determined to go for all the marbles. His goal is to make America into a one-party state, with himself as the leader in perpetuity.

He’s seen how it can be done. He will use the lessons the dictators have learned in Iran and Venezuela. There are lots of tricks. I am not going to underestimate him.

Seems to me that OathKeepers will have a little bit of difficulty getting active duty personnel to join an organization like this. Especially officers and others with secret or higher security clearances.

Even though an organization may have a mission statement to defend the constitution and to safeguard freedoms, the government may view the OathKeepers as an anti-government group.

This is a very fine line that I doubt active duty military would dare to cross.

I may be wrong, but the USSC would never uphold a sedition conviction these days.

The Oath has no expiration date on it. A number of us have noted this over the years...

conspiracy to commit sedition.

Those laws were pretty much discarded almost 100 years ago.

So, the libs have rediscovered sedition, eh? What's next from this bunch of ex-hippies--loyalty oaths?

All it takes is Sheriffs and Chiefs of Police to tell the Feds that they will not allow them to run roughshod over the people. The Feds do not have enough personel to make an issue over it.

Oh they might threaten to withhold federal funding for projects in the affected areas but if the above tell them to get the hell out, they’ll have no choice.

Good, conscientious military officers who refuse to hurt, kill or imprison law abiding citizens will lead their men the right way.

“Good, conscientious military officers who refuse to hurt, kill or imprison law abiding citizens will lead their men the right way.”

I’m not sure how accurate the article at this link is, but it certainly gives one something to think about.

I wonder how this effects the dynamic.
