Has anybody heard any word about Michael Steele and his role (or lack of it) in this sordid selection of a candidate??? You know, him. The “RNC” Chairman? Is he still Chairman? - or is he taken up being a radio talk show host full time?
I wonder if he (or any ‘leaders’ from the House for that matter) intercede with those 11-12 ‘bozo’ NY-23 Republican committee chairmen on voting for an actual “Republican”???
Isn’t the RNC chairman supposed to be ‘recruiting’ actual Republicans?
What in the hell is going on???
Steele was pretty much out of the loop on this candidate. The candidate was selected by the county chairs up in this district in New York.

Once the locals made their selection, it went to the RCCC. Pete Sessions has said that his staffers didn’t properly vet the candidate before the RCCC signed off on supporting her. If staffers had that big of an influence on this decision, there are serious management problems that need to be addressed. Sessions, Hensarling and the whole RCCC are ultimately responsible for this mess.
They have enlisted at least 17 House members, plus Susan Collins from the Senate to support Scozzafava. All of these need to be removed, preferably in the primaries next year. They include Boehner, Cantor, Sessions, Hensarling, Brown-Waite and McCotter.
