Michael Patrick Leahy, the Tea Party activist who has been going after NY-23 GOP candidate Dede Scozzafava with hammer and tongs, produces this photo of the candidate stumping today outside of one of Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman’s offices. Little-known fact: There are lots of campaign workers, and signs, in such offices, ready to be deployed.

The whole thing depends on individuals having the spine not to let them make you ashamed.
As far as Dede's looks go, it's not that she's overweight and 50ish but that she looks mean as a snake and and has an expression that indicates she is an extremely unpleasant person who would call the cops on you the minute you asked her an question of which she did not approve.
Fat, ugly and stupid is no way to go through politics.

Just earlier today, much to my chagrin, I somehow got pulled into another thread involving the same sort of thing. It was about a woman, a teacher, who was seducing adolescent boys. Terrible person.
And how these things go on FreeRepublic, somebody posts a picture and the woman was no beauty but damn she’d been photographed as a perp, no makeup, naked lightbulb for lighting...she wasn’t a beauty but a female would know that we all look kinda bad first thing in the morning. This and she wasn’t smiling, obviously being unhappy about being arrested I would surmise.
The boys of Freerepublic went nuts, putting up black cats and saying they, all of them fine, fine handsome fellows themselves, of course, Brad Pitt lookalikes all, would not touch that and on and on.
Well this was a bad woman but still, if ever there was overkill this was it. I come onto this thread and here it is, on Breaking news where visitors to Freerepublic are far more likely to visit and we’ve got comments on the woman’s nipples, the obligatory Helen Thomas pic and I think no wonder Freerepublic often gets bad press.
So I am glad that somebody else pointed this out besides me because if a woman, which I am, dares to suggest that this totally over the top denigration of a woman’s looks that has nothing to do with the topic, too often that woman, such as me, then becomes the target of attack...the fine, fine very handsome males who have females dropping at their feet for their glorious looks then suggest that females like myself obviously can’t get a man, must be ugly as sin...and on it goes.
This woman is a RINO, hell not even deserving of even that title. She’s a liberal, a Democrat for God’s sake! She’s a middle-aged woman and has had better days so far as her looks go. Still she’s an average sort of middle aged woman and her looks have nothing to do with the fact that the Republican party has once again proved it does not have a clue.
THAT’S WHAT’s IMPORTANT. acting like a bunch of frat boys accomplishes nothing.

This woman is UGLY. Ugly, ugly, ugly. And it has nothing to do with her looks per se -- although in pure self-respect and self-interest you'd think she would take better care of herself. Her ugliness is the result of apparent low intelligence combined with pure meanness. By the time you're our age, you have the face you DESERVE.
She's a hard-left lib who has spent her adult life hanging with union goons and pro-aborts. The effect of her mean little sniveling soul on her face is the problem.
Margaret Thatcher was never a pretty woman in the conventional sense, but her keen intelligence and steel resolve shone through her eyes. And you could look at her and see that she was honest and true.
I would not dishonor Lady Thatcher by putting this Scuzzy woman's picture in her vicinity.

BTW, there were reports of a British cabinet minister or two, trying to come on to Lady Thatcher in her long tenure as Prime Minister. Reports suggest they were promptly put in their place. It wasn’t for nothing they called her the “only man in the cabinet”.
