In fairness, it was not murder but a manslaughter. I don't think anybody believes he meant to kill the victim.

That said, his reckless actions that caused the victim's death and his absolutely, disgraceful actions afterward (disposing of his bloody clothes, jumping in the pool to wash off the victim's blood, and trying to put the victim's fingerprints on the shotgun to make it look like a suicide), warrant a very, long prison sentence, IMO.

If he had behaved differently following the shooting and shown concern for the victim, instead of scheming to get away with it, I would be a lot more sympathetic.

Ok, technically, maybe it was manslaughter.

He was twirling the loaded gun and taunting the chaufeur according to one witness. The fact that the gun may have gone off as an accident versus deliberatley makes the difference of murder vs. manslaughter, I guess, I’m not a lawyer.

We may never know since the poor guy’s dead, and the witnesses have different stories of what really happened.

Sure they can, just ask O.J.

Ooops, forgot, he’s in Jail.
He got a away with murder, but couldn’t pull off a robbery. Must’ve been over confident.
