More evidence that the Republican party should be put out of our misery at the earliest practical election. Is anyone else planning on hosting a stay-at-home party election day?

Not a chance--staying at home is counterproductive.

Why the hell would you stay home? If the GOP nominates someone unacceptable, you vote third party, or you write in someone, but if you stay home you accomplish nothing at all.

And in the NY-23 special election, staying home will get an ultraliberal elected. All conservatives should go out and vote for Doug Hoffman, the nominee of the Conservative Party and the only candidate that isn’t an ultraliberal. In fact, all moderates should vote for Hoffman, since RINO Dede Scozzafava can’t win.

That is a REALLY stupid idea.

Fight.

There is always SOMETHING you can do, for the conservative cause.

Sitting out elections is dumb.

Why would anyone do that? It will only lead to more liberals (Ds and Rs) in office.

Conservatives need to become more politically involved in the GOP not less ultimately attaining leadership positions within the party. We also need to support conservative Republicans and occasionally, as in Doug Hoffman's case, conservative third party candidates. That goes beyond just casting our one vote but includes giving campaign contributions, convincing others to vote for our candidates, driving voters to the polls, and actual leg work campaigning out on the streets where possible.

This is not the time to sit anything out. The future of our country depends on our actions now.
