Whats happening in New York and in New Jersey should be a sober warning to every purist in this country.
This lesson should be learned by the GOP establishment. Run candidates that conservatives can vote for and win elections. Run Demlite candidates and lose. It’s not the conservatives fault that the GOP can’t pick winners.

Gingrich can piss off.I see you have no coherent response to his rationale. The fact is, he is right in principle but may be wrong in the instance. It is possible for a Hoffman to beat a Scozzy without splitting the party, especially when the party is as feckless as the NYGOP. The counter case in NJ is well taken, which simply proves that every case is an individual case and deserves to be taken on its merits.

Anyone got the fact check on this? The NRA has indeed endorsed Scozzafava. When it comes to the Second Amendment, I am a single issue voter and a NRA endorsement erases a multitude of sins. Not only that, the NRA gave her an A rating. There's lots of Republicans who don't get an A so surprising a NY RINO would. Be that as it may an A from the NRA gets my support as it should.

We had him there just so we can keep some power away from the party of the Rat.
No, the GOP leadership had him there so that the conservatives couldn’t win a Senate seat.

If you seek to be a perfect minority, youll remain a minority, says Gingrich. Thats not how Reagan built his revolution or how we won back the House in 1994. Mr. Speaker, Reagan built his Revolution on becoming a MAJORITY. That means running like he did, and championing conservatism.

Eat sh*t Newt. These elites have no clue.

Might as well co-nominate Obama in 2012, that way we can be winners.

The fact is that in this case he is wrong on the facts and in supporting this particular liberal. She is neither fiscally conservative, socially conservative nor a security conservative. There is nothing that binds her to the conservative movement. Nothing at all.
The principle should be that conservatives don't support liberals to be elected to Congress. I'm not sure what principle you and Newt are talking about.

"Mr. Speaker, Reagan built his Revolution on becoming a MAJORITY. That means running like he did, and championing conservatism. "Well said. Newt wants to become a liberal instead of converting liberals. Newt is a surrender monkey.
