[UPDATE: An earlier version of this post mis-stated the title of Doug Hoffman's spokesman, Rob Ryan.]
The campaign of Doug Hoffman, the Conservative Partys candidate in New Yorks 23rd Congressional District, is clearly enjoying the bar fight between The Weekly Standard and GOP candidate Dede Scozzafava. After seeing that Scozzafavas campaign released private emails between a spokesman and the Standards reporter John McCormick, a Hoffman spokesman called on the troubled Republican candidate to hang it up.
Its obvious that with every passing day and with every drop in the polls, Dede Scozzafava is becoming more desperate, said Hoffmans senior communications adviser Rob Ryan. The best thing she can do for her own career and for the Republican Party is to drop out of this race.
Ryan was flabbergasted by the news that Scozzafava called police to question McCormack after the reporter followed her and asked her tough questions. John was on the trail with Doug today, said Ryan. From everything I hear, hes the most mild-mannered guy around. If any police investigation needs to take place, it should be of Dede Scozzafava, for impersonating a Republican.
oh oh, she’s close to being one of those “fat” seniors.
But being a leftist minion, she’ll be well taken care of. Bring on some more bacon.
>> I have lost all respect for Newt over this.
I heard Newt on the radio today commenting on the low number of self-described Republicans. He indicated the Party’s lackluster appeal was the result of its inability to embrace Conservatism. Go figure.
This isn't going to be solved in DC or at the ballot box.
The Conservative Party is doing exactly what it should do, denounce RINOS and cause them to be defeated at every opportunity until they get the point that they are not welcome.
Got a call from a NewtBot seeking a contribution - sent $50 to Hoffman instead. Ditto on loss of respect for Newtee.
Best result in NY 23: #1 Hoffman, #3 Schifozzo
RINO? We Don’t Need No Stinkin’ RINO!
