A new Monmouth University poll for Gannett New Jersey has the state's gubernatorial race in a dead heat two weeks before voters head to the polls. Once again, it's independent candidate Chris Daggett whose numbers are growing, pulling both major party candidates below the 40 percent line.

I missed the debate between the 3 canidates. Was Dagget taking shots at Christie rather than Corzine? If so then it seems to me the fix is in.
I live in NJ and have lost all faith in government, politics and voting practices.
I have too.
But we got a shot here, lets go for it!
Does Daggett think Christie is the incumbent?? If he has a problem with the way things are being run now he should be aiming his attacks on the current governor.
If he is such a lefty you would think he would take more votes from Corzine. Maybe Christie should run a barrage of ads against him, or highlight Daggett’s liberal record. Then maybe that will move some Corzine votes to the independent.
I know...but Daggett is a PLANT and the people from NJ are TOO stupid to realize this.
Christie’s biggest hurdle is Daggett...not Corslime! he is there to steal votes from corslime, that’s it!
Just like Reagan and Carter were tied... NOT!!!!!
If corzine didn’t pay off daggett (IMO) to interfere in the race, Christie would be up 10
I’ve always felt this way. He knows he has no chance he’s just a stalking horse for Corzine. I heard Zer0 was up in NJ shilling for Corzine, but I think he’s written off Va. I pray that Bammy’s visit scares people off voting for Corzine or Daggett.
They have just started to run ads linking Daggett to Corzine. Problem is Corzine’s got so much more money and is running a never ending barrage of ads against Christie.
SEPT. 29 (Christie +3)
37% Dem
37% Ind
26% Rep
OCT. 20 (Dead Heat)
40% Dem
34% Ind
26% Rep
Could it be a coincidence that Christie's lead keeps shrinking in direct proportion to the sampling increase of Dems vs Rep? There is indeed a plurality of Dem vs Rep voters here in NJ but IMHO these polls are oversampling both Dem & Rep while under-sampling the Independents (which could be good news for Christie as he leads Corzine with Independents 45%-21%.)
The bottom line is we need to Get Out The Vote on Nov. 3rd!
I’ve posted previously that Daggett worked for Corzine. Corzine appointed him to be head of some commission in the past. THAT needs to be broadcast far and wide.
BTW, I've contributed money to the Republican candidates in most elections since 2000, and I received my first solicitation from Christie just last week. This contrasts with McCain who probably spent more money sending me junk mail than I gave him.
BLATANT POLL RIGGING TO “TELL A TALE”.
I think you hit the nail on the head that there will be Daggett defectors on election day and the direction they go may sway this election.
For what it’s worth:
[Daggett continued to work on environmental issues with Republican and Democratic governors of New Jersey. He was appointed by Governor Jon Corzine as chairman of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Permit Efficiency Task Force. He also works at J.M. Sorge Inc., an environmental consulting firm]

It's a drunken overpriced college for the underachieving children of Jersey professionals
.
Its going to take a great grassroots level GOTV effort to defeat the Corzine regime but unlike previous years, a GOP victory is possible.
Lets go NJ folks and take our shot!
