It is insulting to me that the GOP would send mail to my house soliciting donations, and then freely turn those donations over to a candidate like this.
The Republican Party still does not get it. I will support Conservatives - not someone who just so happens to have an 'R' by their name. We do have other options here.

I actually made my donation to Hoffman online, but I also wrote a check for the same amount, scanned the check (in color, both side), and obscured my account info. Then I printed a two sided color copy. I wrote “I support conservative candidates” on this “check” and stuck it in the RNC fund raising envelope and mailed it to them.
I have been sending letters, with no check. But I think whoever opens the envelopes just throws away everything but the checks, and keeps the checks. I think this message might get through to someone this time.

I caught that as well. It came from the source article, not from me. I just posted what David Weigel wrote and the Washington Independent published.

I agree with you generally. But this race is an opportunity for a Conservative that really can win. I've heard that Hoffman has committed to caucusing with the Republicans.
The “Leadership” of the GOP will not listen to conservatives. They need a lesson from this race. If Hoffman wins, the “conservatives can’t win” argument is shattered. That is why I strongly support Hoffman in this race. It is only one seat in one district. Also, the Dem is more likely to be a blue dog problem for Pelosi, and the Repubican will definitely be a RINO problem for the Republicans. In this situation, the Conservative victory would be the best outcome. I think the Dem winning might actually be better for conservatives than the Republican.
