Sorry, but no. Normally I advocate voting for the conservative (not Conservative) in the primary and the Republican in the general,...
I agree with the first part of what you say. I usually don't support third party candidates, but in this case for several reasons that I previously covered, I am.
... but Scozzabarfa is further to the left than the Democrat in this race. Therefore, a vote for Hoffman will, one way or another, ensure that the most leftist candidate in the race (Scozzabarfa, for those of you keeping track at home) doesn't win.
Sorry the second part of what you say is naive nonsense.
Obama is fund raising for Owens. Peter King and Newt are campaigning for Scozzafava.
SEIU has endorsed Owens.
Owens is for forcing private insurance companies to cover patients which would eventually lead to the down fall of the insurance companies and the onset of government Run Health care.
Scozzafava has a pro 2A voting record and is endorsed by the NRA while they are critical of Owens.
Scozzafava is against Cap and Trade.
Scozzafava is against the Baucus Bill saying, "At a time when Americans need serious solutions from Washington to repair our broken health care system, I was extremely disappointed to see that the Baucus bill fails to address the primary causes of rising health care costs, while simultaneously slashing $400 billion from Medicare. Any meaningful health care reform must reduce costs by expanding competition across state lines and by implementing much needed tort reform to curb the frivolous law suits that have been driving up costs on the entire system."
Scozzafava signed the Taxpayer Protection Pledge, Owens refuses to.
Perhaps you need to rationalize your support for Hoffman with this Scozzafa-is-worse-than-Ownens nonsense, but I don't.
