You assertion is false. The balloon boy was on every news network, not just Fox. So EVERYONES ratings went up.

Why is it important, to you, for him to say “We had a record day...but not really...it’s only due to Balloon Boy.”
It’s a fact Beck’s ratings are going up and up and up...much like that balloon.
