Law enforcement is a field with lots of stressors, thus suicide is more common than in less stressful occupations.
However, a 400 yard headshot would be a stretch worthy of a suicidal Plastic Man.
And, I didn’t know that many LEO’s were related to Plastic Man.

Have you ever made a 400 yard shot?
Even with the rifle strapped down to a bench, the normal variation between cartridges will give a group that is over a foot across.
