There are many men who have formed bonds of friendship through the hell of war that has lasted their entire lives. That is about the only good thing that I can think of from war.
Does that mean the freeing of millions of people that were under the bonds of slavery, imperialism, fascism and tyrannical governments all ovre the world mean nothing to you?
