Unfortunately, average Neanderthal brain volume exceeded homo sapiens by about 100 ml. True, but then brain volume among individual homo sapiens does not appear to be a good indicator of IQ. Neanderthals are quite an enigma. Speaking of which, I highly recommend "The Neandertal Enigma" by James Shreeve.
