Many cat owners think nothing of letting their cats out to run the neighborhood and then cry when something happens.

Depends on the neighborood. Here in my tiny town cats seem to run loose a lot but I've never had any problems with them. There are a lot of dogs here in town but to see one wandering loose is pretty rare.

My area in Florida has a HUGE feral cat problem. Mostly because of people who let their cats out at night and they never return.

Then theres the cat poop in my bushes and patio. I have little sympathy for cat owners who let their cats roam.
