WASHINGTON -- Maybe it happened on an afternoon when no one was looking. Maybe it occurred when everyone was focused on something else, or preoccupied with other matters. Maybe it happened one night.
But this is no romantic comedy, and there is no Clark Gable or Claudette Colbert involved. Yet it definitely happened. The Iraq war, once owned by George W. Bush, suddenly became Barack Obama's. So, too, the war in Afghanistan. And the economy. Don't forget the threat from Iran. They're all Obama's now. I'm calling it President Obama's Frank Capra moment, and it's playing on a video screen near you...

About time they caught up.
Yo Rod, you will enjoy this article
“The McChrystal report is forcing Obama to make a decision — carry on or change course — and thus already has helped brand the war as Obama’s, a notion that was fed last week when PBS aired a Frontline show called “Obama’s War”.”
McChrystal was surely aware of this, he knew that the WH was dithering due to the mixed signals he was receiving and he knew the dangerous consequences that this portended for his soldiers. He needed resolve from the WH and he knew how to force it to happen, one way or another.
Brilliant.
This guy is a little late to the party though, I’ve been having fun with my leftie co-workers for months. I like to chant “Troops Home Now!” and “No Blood For Oil!” in screechy leftie voices at them just to watch ‘em squirm :)
Interesting point.
Speaking of blame, I wouldn't be suprised to see him have a Captain Queeg moment (a la Humphrey Bogart in the Caine Mutiny).
Nice. Keep ‘em under pressure! People hate it when their mistaken ideas and hypocrisies are exposed and all they can really do is duck and cover. Fun stuff!
The sad truth is these folks put zero into power. They really deserve all the disdain and scorn they might receive.
You just KNOW this ill equipped make believe president is searching desperately for a way to vote “present”
If not before, it should have happened when he appointed Geithner.
I have never seen such a bunch of misfits, conmen, criminals, thugs, communists, and weirdos in the White House. I thought Clinton was bad, but this guy is ten times worse.
He tried that, except G Mc C didn't let him slide!
Excellent point!
