The Rev. Al Sharpton is ready for a Rush to judgment.
The civil rights leader, typically impervious to insults, said Saturday that he will sue Rush Limbaugh for defamation unless he gets an apology from the right-wing radio host.
Sharpton was outraged by a Limbaugh op-ed piece in The Wall Street Journal that blamed him for the 1991 Crown Heights riot and a 1995 killing spree at a Harlem store.
"I am definitely going to prove he makes reckless, unaccountable statements," Sharpton said. "Which is why he was forced out of buying an NFL team in the first place."
Limbaugh lashed out at Sharpton over the right-wing radio host's failed attempt to purchase a piece of the St. Louis Rams. Sharpton, among others, blasted Limbaugh's bid for NFL ownership.
Limbaugh replied in his op-ed piece that Sharpton "played a leading role in the 1991 Crown Heights riot ... and 1995 Freddie's Fashion Mart riot."
Seven people were killed by a gun-toting man who set a fire in the Freddie's Fashion Mart. A Jewish scholar was stabbed to death in Crown Heights three hours after a 7-year-old black boy was fatally struck by a car.
Slanderous, according to Sharpton, who denied both allegations.
"He doesn't have the right to lie and accuse people of crimes," Sharpton said. "He wants to criminalize me.
"That's what got him in trouble. He tried to criminalize the NFL players, calling them Crips and Bloods."
The hard-line conservative also mentioned Sharpton's wrongful accusations in the Tawana Brawley case, and the reverend's "blind hatred" - although Sharpton took no issue with those remarks.
Limbaugh was unavailable for comment Saturday.

Sadly, when Al ran for president, I thought he was the best of the Dem’s candidates.
1991: A Hasidic Jewish driver in Brooklyn’s Crown Heights section accidentally kills Gavin Cato, a 7-year-old black child, and antisemitic riots erupt. Sharpton races to pour gasoline on the fire. At Gavin’s funeral he rails against the “diamond merchants” — code for Jews — with “the blood of innocent babies” on their hands. He mobilizes hundreds of demonstrators to march through the Jewish neighborhood, chanting, “No justice, no peace.” A rabbinical student, Yankel Rosenbaum, is surrounded by a mob shouting “Kill the Jews!” and stabbed to death.
1995: When the United House of Prayer, a large black landlord in Harlem, raises the rent on Freddy’s Fashion Mart, Freddy’s white Jewish owner is forced to raise the rent on his subtenant, a black-owned music store. A landlord-tenant dispute ensues; Sharpton uses it to incite racial hatred. “We will not stand by,” he warns malignantly, “and allow them to move this brother so that some white interloper can expand his business.” Sharpton’s National Action Network sets up picket lines; customers going into Freddy’s are spat on and cursed as “traitors” and “Uncle Toms.” Some protesters shout, “Burn down the Jew store!” and simulate striking a match. “We’re going to see that this cracker suffers,” says Sharpton’s colleague Morris Powell. On Dec. 8, one of the protesters bursts into Freddy’s, shoots four employees point-blank, then sets the store on fire. Seven employees die in the inferno. Jeff Jacoby, 2/23/2003
Actually Sharpton is the guy who ought to be nervous. He is really ripe to be sued off this latest episode of lies.

Al is what Black Rapp’n is always talking about; just be’in one o’da brothers do’n and putt’um up as fast as he can. Although, I am sure Rush will stuff Al’s three pounds of worthless human debris in a two pound brown bag, demonstrating one fact; That Al is not worth putting in a three pound bag...mmm-mmm-mmmh.

On Rush’s show the other day former NFL Ken Hutcherson called Jackson and Sharpton ‘race pimps’. Then he was the O’Reilly segment with Juan Williams. He was fuming!
I think Limbaugh’s lawyers would love the chance to get Al under oath. Maybe find out how Al financially supports hisself...

At first I thought this had to be from The Onion!
Rush has a plan and this might be the first salvo. His goal is to force the DBM to “disown” Obama. It may be a while in development and some of Rush’s moves might not make sense at the moment, but give it time.
Maybe the idea is to just tell the truth about them, and lure Sharpton and other race baiters into suing him. Then what side will the DBM take - the side of the one telling the truth or the side of the one telling lies?
