The Omen movies were good, but I guess the “modern” versions will need gratuitous sex, blood, and violence to attract the youth crowd, let’s not forget the hip-hop soundtrack, that will make it “dope”.
And Dafoe is in it...

According to MovieGuide’s review of the film, Defoe’s newest effort includes demonic activity, full nudity and graphic on-screen depictions of sex, sadomasochism, sexual mutilation with both a block of wood and a pair of scissors, child abuse, and violent animal acts.
The Omen movies, especially the first, were good because much was suggested and not explicitly shown. One’s imagination can often do a much better job than the director.
