It was GREAT! Had two local candidates there for Boise City council who are also members of our Restore the Constitution effort. Maybe 25-30 people. Will post pics and videos later tonight on the Restore the Constitution, 912Project, and TeaPartyNation sites.

Thanks GOPJ, please spread the word. The more American who stand up and publically committ to focusing on constitutional principle first and foremost in their voting, and only vote for candidates who do the same...at all levels of government...the better, and the sooner we will turn this around.

Well, fopr us, it means the candidates looking at our twelve principle staements and swearing their support of those principles and the Constitution if elected to office. If they will take that oath or affirmation, we will support them as a voting block. If they break that oath, we will list them as oathbreakers and in turn find others who take the oath and mean it.
That's what this effort is about...making a voting block big enough to have an effect where the voters themselves are focused on constitutional principle, and demand that their candidates do the same...up front, and by oath or affirmation.
The beauty of this effort is that is can work in any local election or any county, city, etc. As well as at larger state and national levels. You just have to gather the voters in the area in question and get them focused on these principles and the constitution, demanding that candidates do the same.
We have a candidate contact primer on the site that people can use as a model or template when contacting candidates.

...natural-born citizens with at least one U.S. national as a birth-parent. You do realize that you're opening an enormous can of worms with that statement, don't you?
Many (if not most) who agree with the platform and purpose of this org believe that NBC is defined as having two US citizen parents, AND birth on US soil.
Count me in that group.

All political office holders swear an oath to defend and uphold the Constitution of the United States, so help me God, as do all members of the armed forces. The only difference is, our service members actually risk their lives doing so. The office holders who betray their oath betray their Constitution, their country, their God and their sacred honor! No viable free society can live in UNTRUTH. If our duly appointed public representatives do not live in and by the truth they swore to when they took their constitutional Oath of Office, then obviously they betray the truth to which they swore (or affirmed). That is, they are liars, and thus corrupt to boot.
We Americans are drowning in corruption these days. It will destroy the American idea if it is not stopped in in tracks.
Perpetrators thereof should be gotten rid of ASAP, by whatever constitutional means are available. And if constitutional means should fail, then we will engage the whirlwind, here in our own dear country.
Meanwhile, we demand transparency and accountability. If we don't get it and pretty soon I do not know what will happen, but I imagine it won't be pleasant.
But citizen "backlash" would be efficient, once inspired by need. More so, I imagine, than Captain Zero can imagine. [He evidently thinks he's "ruling" Venezuelans, not Americans.]
America, to survive as America, has to put the corruption and the corrupters DOWN.
Washington is utterly corrupt because of oath breakers. And they are destroying America, either to make a buck, or to steal our God-given liberties, and usually both.

Thank you, and welcome aboard! New Jersey is already gathering quite a few members...but we need a lot more to make this work. We do have one candidate already from NJ.

Thanks betty, you're words are spot on the mark! (As always)
This whole effort is about getting the American people to rise up and stop it in its tracks. To themselves commit to principle and then demand it of any candidate they would vote for.
Please spread the word! We look forward to working with any and all like-minded Americans.

Please spread the word! We look forward to working with any and all like-minded Americans. This should not be a difficult concept for most [sane] Americans to understand: Corrupt governance can never, in principle, serve the interests of a free people.
If history teaches any lesson, it is that one.
I'm always spreading the word of "Liberty!!!" I outreach to anybody on this topic, and always will.
Which is to say: I applaud and support the alliance of Free Republic and the Restore the Constitution effort.

I'm going to play devils advocate here. FR's disclaimer on the home page states the following:
"Free Republic is the premier online gathering place for independent, grass-roots conservatism on the web."
Why are OP candidates allowed to be members of an organization that endorses conservatism? Why don't these candidates leave the OP and become Independent or members of a Conservative party if they truly believe in the Constitution? Why would an organization that supports Conservative values have a link to the RNC knowing the RNC clearly does not support Conservative values?
Many on FR are increasingly opposed to the OP(formerly the GOP)continually and incrementally embracing socialism with its big tent mentality. Given these facts, I am perplexed as to why FR is merging with Restore the Constitution who in turn supports candidates associated with a party that has repeatedly rejected conservatism and has a link to the RNC website. It seems to me FR is tacitly and indirectly endorsing the very organization its principles oppose. I'd appreciate your input.

We are supporting individual candidates who have taken an oath to support specific principles. Plain and simple. If those individuals take that oath and proceed under that auspice, they have our support.
We have a link to the platform of the GOP, which is a good platform. The problem is the candidates and leadership that depart from their own platform...not the ones who support those principles.
This site and effort is not about the GOP in the least in any event. It is about individual candidates and principles. We also support candidates from other parties and wholly independent candidates who take the same oath. We also link to other platforms that espouse the same principles and values.
Hope that answers your questions. There is no intent to support the GOP per sey in the least. There is an intent to support individual candidates and the constitutional principles we set forth.
As we state up front...this organization is not about a party or a PAC. It is about principle and will support canndidates who support those principles and are willing to swear to do so.
