Great question—I do not know.
On the other hand, the pollsters must know who to call to come up with their numbers—depending on who they work for.

You, sir, are full of it. I can only hope you made this post in sarcasm.
The Huckster is a NOTHING but a populist who will take any position he thinks will get him elected - including amnesty for illegals.

Huckabee is the reason we had McLaim as the candidate. He stayed in as the spoiler and did some very mean if unethical things to make sure that Romney was marginalized. I believe he did this because of his religious beliefs while McCain partnered with him for political beliefs.
He is a liberal wishy washy person that would make Jimmy Carter look Presidential.
You will see that the Main Stream media will treat Huckabee like they treated McCain. They will not say anything bad about him, in fact they will laud him as a great and wonderful American until he receives the nomination.
They know that a liberal Republican can easily be beaten by any kind of Democrat - Liberal Conservative or moderate.
As with McCain their aim is to make sure the weakest Republican is nominated for the Presidential Candidate.

I would vote for McCain before I'd vote for Huck. Check my posting history to see how likely that would be.

I agree. Last thing we need is the male Oprah back in the political arena.

I suspect this is the value voters thowing a snit...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just curious: do you disagree only with the the result of the Value's Voters Summit straw poll, or do you also disagree with their agenda?
Among other things, the Family Research Council (which sponsored the straw poll) is pro-life, against judicial activism, against the death tax, and opposed the Sotomayor nomination.

Any poll that had McCain/Palin that far ahead close to the election was just flat out BS. McCain blew the election when the financial crash hit and he showed himself to be completely clueless.

Christianity, Hellenistic thought and Roman culture are the meats in the stew that is Western Civilization. To find someone in Western civilization who hasn't been influenced to some degree or another by Christianity would be rare.

Yeah, right.
America needs a POTUS that follows the Constitution and doesn’t seek to grow it or expand the nanny state.

Fascinating. You have somehow managed to do exactly what the liberals do with Rush Limbaugh.

For the past two months, Palin has been out of sight and out of mind.
Huckabee’s mug is plastered on all over on FNC. First there is his Weekend show, then he makes several pundit appearances on Greta, Hannity, O’Reilly, and Fox & Friends. Plus ABC affiliate radio stations run the Huckabee report, a weekly radio commentary that Huckabee gives on the issue of the week. In Chicago, the Huckabee report is broadcasted run after Rush’s show. Huckabee has effectively used the media to promote himself.

He can use the power of the Presidency to preserve Americas Christian values that the Founders envisioned. Why don't he use it to cut taxes and spending, and let private and religious groups at the local level do the values thingy? I don't need a European Christian Democrat for President.

You are ridiculous.
Huckabee is no different, on religious matters, from a great number of past American Presidents.

Do NOT Allow The Media (in any form) To Choose The 2010 Or The 2012 Candidates!!!
This is just one more way they wish to contain Constitutional Conservatives. They want to push Sarah Palin down so low that it will appear she has no following.
They have skewed the polls and we all know it. Romney should have been the candidate against 0bama. Romney is old news. Huckabee is a huckster preacher-man and is a NeoCon. And he released more Arkansas prisoners in his final days in office there than ol' Billy Boy Clinton. IE . . . Romney is "big government runs health care" and Huckabee is not a committed Constitutional Conservative.

I live in West Virginia, which is chock full of "values voters".
Most of the "values voters" who I know personally are pro-gun, pro-life, pro-military ... but will pull the lever every time for the Democrat or RINO who promises them the biggest hunk of free government cheese.
This is the heart and soul of the Huckabee demographic.

If anything, we will lose this election because of conservative obsession with rino kill.
It would be much more helpful if they would concentrate on building a three deep bench of winners.
That way, if any one gets picked off by the enemy, there is someone else to step in at a moment's notice.
