Experts say the ban will reduce the state's rocketing electricity bill by £5billion over the next decade. This is the equivalent of about £20 a set per year. This kind of makes it sound like the state is furnishing electricity free. No, customers are paying for it same as always. Ahhnold has completely given in to the dark side.

I believe that you're right and that it is BS. I saw that reference to smaller "cathode ray" models and couldn't believe what I was seeing. CRTs (cathode ray tubes) are the picture tubes of older TVs and require considerably more power than the large flat screen televisions. Considerable energy is required to heat the cathode and, in addition, a modulated electron stream is necessary to paint the picture on the CRT's face.
Whoever came up with this was not qualified to come up with it.

In a world first, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has given his backing to the crackdown on sets more than 40 inches wide. NEWS FLASH:........
In another world first, LasVegasMac says Gov Arnold Schwarsenschmucker is a first class idiot. A green fool, idiot type.

They Socialist/Communists are reminding us that they know what is going on in our homes and they have control over us there. In our living rooms and our bathrooms too. (Recall the toilet paper restrictions that are being considered? No soft TP for anyone!)
They know what we purchase as you know.
