The Mao quote wasn’t the issue. The issue was that she named Mao as one of her favorite political philosophers.

Anita Dunn was also Bill Bradley’s Communications Director and “top strategist” in 1999 and 2000.

My suspicion is that she was as Marxist then in her beliefs ... and likely less-guarded with her statements.
