No, you might want to get your facts straight before spouting off because apparently the student has reading comprehension problems and was making it out to be more than what it was and you are compounding that problem by stating it as fact. I posted a link to the letter and it doesn’t matter whether Rush had a copy of the letter at the time, he should do his homework, the letter was readily available on-line within seconds. There was nothing in the letter about protesting, period, and if Rush commented on it, then he was wrong for doing so. And yes, Rush is a drama queen, he always is, that is one reason I don’t listen to him.
BTW, I have no idea if the letter was true or not, I only have your word for it. I will reserve judgement until I see the letter for myself. As for Bush, he is an idiot for going anywhere with Bozo, and I am glad they protested both of them when they showed up in Texas, regardless if he wrote the letter or not.
“OU-Texas is tomorrow, otherwise Id drive out there.”
I predict a Texas win in a very close game.
I clearly qualified my statement "There was nothing in the letter about protesting, period, and if Rush commented on it, then he was wrong for doing so." with the word "if", so it seems you are the one that has the "confused brain". Have some more coffee.
The original post that I was responding to stated "I heard on Rush that GHWB had sent out word that protestors were not welcome", so first of all, I was under the impression that Rush did comment on this. Secondly, that statement by the original poster was incorrect and I merely provided information to back up the claim that it was incorrect by providing a direct link to the letter as well as a news article.
As for the letter, there is no need for you to reserve judgement, I clearly posted a link to the letter on Friday in that post, so you have had plenty of time to read it between now and then. Instead, you choose to ignore the facts presented, defend Rush and bash me for providing facts that he could have easily pulled up on Google in a few seconds like I did, so he would know the facts and then be qualified to comment based on those facts.
Finally, I have no problem with the protesters and I too am glad they protested, however, I do have a problem with people who skew facts to defame others on the public airwaves such as the student did. I am also not defending Bush inviting Obama, I was merely posting the fact that Bush did not state that there should be no protesters in his letter.
You’re good, Vegas should hire you. ;-)
Let's just hope both quarterbacks stay healthy. My sixth sense is telling me something bad may happen in this game.
No, you’re not one! ;^)
Actually I’m referring to those who sit and say really hateful things all the time, and to his supporters! I know people got p.o.’d at him at times, probably for their own good reasons. What is maddening is that we have one in there who is much worse, and they’re still blaming him/and his dad for everything under the sun! He’s/they are gone from the WH, and they’re still denigrating both him/George Sr., and attacking those who defend them in any way!
I figure that even if a really good leader gets criticism at times, it makes them an even better leader! (most of the time, that is!) No leader is perfect in all things.(our Lord was one exception!). No, I’m not talking about you, just some other ones who are all over the place on here trashing him/his dad and they’re supporters still!
Uh, first line should have said that you are not a ‘Bush-basher’, sorry! I read that, and forgot to put that at end of sentence!
