COMRADE! Nice to see you! EXCELLENT show today!
I had this GREAT General Practitioner Doctor in Plano, TX when I lived there. He was as old as the hills and didn’t accept any insurance. I paid him cash. Plus, he was affordable. It was a beautiful thing. If you’re in Plano -Howard Fish was his name. Don’t know if he’s still practicing, but I never had a problem getting in to see him and his waiting room had maybe 1 or 2 patients waiting whenever I went in.
I want that option.
” WHAT??????????????????? “
Wonder what office at FNC we need to flood with emails about this...
Anybody???
Fingers crossed AND toes! ;)
Every time we have to go through the government we have to PAY for all the RED tape on top of the Extra money to the insurance companies before the doctor and hospital gets paid.
There is NO WAY we will not be paying MORE!
Look at what happened with our Government helping in the CAR INSURANCE!!! Are we paying less???
I’ve read that Murdock doesn’t like “free internet”. He’s gettin’ too cocky locky.
I saw a local interview on this with a doc that I know to be conservative. He says that med students are in for an awakening. Wait ‘till the government starts telling those who choose a “specialty” that they can’t specialize anymore because of the extreme shortage of primary care docs.
There’s an 800# in post #57, we can start there probably ask for their legal department.........
ALL FNC Live Feeds are DOWN!!!!
Please, please, please, somebody on this thread be good at play-by-play!!!!!
I posted this elsewhere today, but I'll re-post since I feel it matters. (and I enjoy a good rant.)
I called the BlinkoTV guys today and they said that the networks contacted them and gave them cease and desist letters. They didn't sound happy about it at all because I'm sure a majority of their users were people at work who wanted internet access to the news outlets.
It comes down to money... Cable providers and Satellite providers are protecting their assets. The internet is a magical wonderful place that we should embrace, but when it messes with someone's cookie jar, the lawyers come out to play.
I personally don't subscribe to Cable TV or Satellite and get all my information through the net. It sucks for me cause I've come to rely on BlinkoTV to provide me with live news feeds (Like yesterday's Captain Falcon and the UFO ride that never was.)
I really hope Fox News can find a way to lead on the streaming internet TV thing... I remember CNN trying a similar project with their "pipeline" service (which I actually subscribed to. (It was like pennies a month and I couldn't pass up having 4 raw news feeds (no commentary, just the raw sat link-up footage as well as CNN International)) Of course, they stopped that pay service years ago, then went to an "It's free, but we'll only broadcast during the day..." which wasn't as good... and now I don't think pipeline even exists anymore...
I really hope the networks and channels would just skip the middleman (or at least convince the middlemen to let them stream as they see fit.) It would be better for the consumer, and in the long run the networks and channels. (It gives them more control over their product and how it's broadcast.)
And for those who worry about revenue... The internet is still a place to advertise, and there are MANY eyeballs out there! (The key issues to hammer home in support of streaming networks and channels on the internet are these two: (1) People at work who want to watch YOUR PROGRAMMING while at work, and (2) New Viewers who you weren't reaching otherwise.)
Ok, that should do it... /rant
murdock can kiss my a$$
Oh hell yeah, it’s gonna get ugly, really ugly, and those students won’t know what hit them.........
My thoughts as well.
” I posted this elsewhere today, “
Thanks — I saw your post on the other thread, and immediately cross-posted it here...
(Sorry - I forgot to add the ‘courtesy ping’ to you on my post.. Got too excited... ;))
Maybe they think they’ll be in the elite - after all they’re just students and already have white coats.
Probably how Kennedy hung on so long - went to doctors with white coats. My little town doctor is as old as I am and he doesn’t have a white coat yet. He has a nice speedboat though.
Some of these Doctors don’t have a clue. If people are forced to pay insurance, they will USE it for colds, flu, stubbed toe. Just ask Canada!
Right now people, here, that are not sick don’t go to the doctor.
Free health care, free TV, free houses and a chicken in every pot!
I do like the idea of paying Fox news $5.00 a month for internet streaming.
If you would like to share Glenn’s show with someone later.

Hey Thanks...Just “tuned” in.
Doctors and the patient should be involved ONLY with their health care, no government involved, is what is being said.
Yes, the psychiatrist pegs it:
“...any controls on medicine messes up the system.”
This show should have been a two-hour prime time special...it certainly needs a ‘follow up’. Can you imagine a show with docs on one side and insurance reps on the other?
Yes, this discussion is excellent. Glenn has a great mix of docs and medical students there. I only wish this discussion could go on for about 3 hours or so (with fewer breaks). It’s such a complex subject, and I would love to hear each doctor’s take on ObamaCare and alternatives. 1 hour plus all the required commercial breaks isn’t enough time...
