Obama backing would-be dictator in Honduras
Dallas Examiner ^ | October 15, 9:19 PM | Brian Leach

Posted on 10/16/2009 11:37:16 AM PDT by Texas Fossil

The Honduran President was escorted from the Honduran presidency in June. In September, Manuel Zelaya quietly slipped back into the country and has been holed up within the Brazilian embassy ever since.

The military forced Zelaya out on June 28 because the President sought to hold a public vote to extend his term limit. It seems Manuel rather enjoys being President and doesn’t want to turn over the cushy job to a freely-elected opponent.

Hugo Chavez successfully extended his presidency of Venezuela indefinitely. The power-mad dictator first attempted to sieze power there twice in 1992. The coup d’état failed to thrust Chavez into power right away but did succeed in popularizing the man with the Venezuelan voting public.

Chavez was slapped on the wrist for his treasonous act with a two year imprisonment, followed by a pardon in 1994. After the pardon Chavez organized a socialist party in the country in preparation for the 1998 elections. Chavez won the presidency with 56 percent of the vote. Soon after Chavez’ inauguration a new constitution was approved. By February of 2009 the Venezuelan dictator was able to remove all provisions limiting his time in office. Chavez can remain “president for life” as long as he keeps winning elections.

It is obvious that Obozo wants to do here exactly what Zelaya wants to do in Honduras. They are both Dictator-Want-To-Be's.

This is such a horror story. The idiot libs have put a socialist dictator in the White House....but we knew that before the election. Not news.

“Hugo Chavez successfully extended his presidency of Venezuela indefinitely.”

I am fully convinced that Obama will find some way to do the same.

No, I think the heat on our Congress Critters is getting warm enough that even their ego’s cannot mask it.

What I want to see is Obozo sweat.

What I really want to see is him removed from the WH in handcuffs.

odumbo may back zelaya but the Un doesn’t
it came out on Wed and said Honduras gov’t had the legal right to remove the dictator.

We have that right, it is called Impeachment.

What we need is the smoking gun that even the Dems dare not say no to.

His history is still buried, but in his past is the element needed to remove him.

If he steps on enough powerful people, someone will remove the cover.

And when the cover is off, such a stench will escape.

No Sir the Half Black empty suit will NOT do it here. If he tries it the 70 million gun owners will teach him the real meaning of the Second Amendment which up until now he has not been able to grasp.

I think you are exactly right. He will overstep one of these days and the past will be here to bite him. It’s only a matter of time

Only if we allow it.

Remember Honduras kicked the ursurper out. If he gets back in, it will only be because of the help of the U.S. Government. If Obama tries this, I think he will get kicked to the curb, also, and he doesn't have an ally willing to go up against the U.S. Military and it's armed citizens just to save his butt.

getting impeachable grounds on odumbo won’t be easy.
Not that he isn’t the worst slime to hold office EVAH but it is that he uses Chicago ways.

I hope you are right. It truly gets worse every day

My wife gets tired of me saying, "Gosh, there's something every day!" But there is. . and it just keeps building. . it's just amazing.

I say the same thing. There is something outrageous every single day.
Sometimes more than one thing. It's amazing.
