Mondale barely won the majority of the vote, in his homestate. In MN, Mondale got about 1,036,000 votes, and Reagan got about 1,032,000. The Libertarian, Bob Bergland, who was a secretary of agriculture for Carter, got about 3,000 votes.
Times have changed a lot since then.
Some freeper once told me Reagan didn’t campaign in MN and if he had he would have won it.
I am. Specifically there is a huge difference between a moderate Republican like Norm Coleman and a left of center 'literal' RINO like Kirk, Olympia Snowe, Dede Scuzzobama, and the Governator. They are trojan horses that belong in the other party.
Great quote.
Yeah. I went looking for a quote from him besides his famous "winning isn't everything" one.
Too bad he coached the Pack!
