Unfortunately one of the US players I had a lot of high hopes for, Charlie Davies, was just involved in a bad auto accident, which most likely ended his career.

My team out here is the Earthquakes. They were a worst-to-first-to-worst-first-to-worst-to-first team that moved to Houston and became the Dynamo.
The current Earthquakes are a perrenial last-place team. We just lost the best player to a career-ending hip injury.
