The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows that 28% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Thirty-nine percent (39%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -11 (see trends).
Forty-six percent (46%) have a favorable opinion of Vice President Joe Biden.
The Presidential Approval Index is calculated by subtracting the number who Strongly Disapprove from the number who Strongly Approve. It is updated daily at 9:30 a.m. Eastern (sign up for free daily e-mail update). Updates also available on Twitter and Facebook.
Overall, 47% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President's performance. That figure has stayed in a very narrow range between 47% and 52% every day for six weeks. Fifty-one percent (51%) now disapprove (see recent demographic highlights).
You are making no sense.
The far left is vicious. The right cannot compare to them in terms of the attacking vicious mean quality they have. I never said the far right was worse. The far right has not nearly the political viciousness of the far left.
Well, that was my point. The far right is the enemy of the far left. How hard is that to understand. THat is how they regard the far right and I am fairly sure that the far right regards the far left as their enemy.
I just think that the far left is better at being the enemy to the right in that they go for the jugular every time, are unfair, mean, scummy and so forth.
My point is that we need to repudiate the lie that there is a spectrum of political/social/economic thought. That being in the middle of the spectrum is somehow the optimal position (see my tagline.)
Oh glad you got what I said.
Actually we disagree on spectrum. I think there is a spectrum of thought and a population sort of moves to the middle which is a compromise either internally for an individual person or as part of a solution to how one runs a group of individuals.
I don’t think a population of people would ever unite under either a far left or far right thought. People are to individual for that.
Their are conservative who call themselves social conservatives but are liberal in terms of how they view economic issues. ANd socially liberal conservatives who don’t care what was people run their personal lives but are conservative economically.
We don’t march in lock step and have to find a way to live peacefully with each other.
“He has to get support from independents or moderates or what people here call rinos. A term I dont like because it makes conservatives easy to pick off.”
Well that says alot about you doesn’t it. A RINO isn’t a conservative and should be picked off.
And conservatives are not far right, conservatives believe in what the founding fathers did so it isn’t far left or right it is the foundation of our country.
RINO’s aren’t conservatives.
