In case you are unaware, OFA is an outgrowth of the 2008 "Obama For America" organization, and was created in part to sustain the (now-familiar) "permanent campaign mode" favored by Democrats, but also to circumvent a law that barred the Democrat National Committee from using (for subsequent political purposes) the 13-million-name e-mail list of supporters it had compiled during the presidential race.
