Black males make for 5.5% of the US population, yet they have make up well over 50% of the NBA lineup. It’s pretty clear that the selection process is bias, particularly against older Korean women. Is it any MISTAKE there is not even ONE there? That anyone would refute this is laughable.

We need to cap the number of young black males in the NBA..!

Thanks neverdem.
Before these execs start doing their end zone dance about Limbaugh's exclusion from the NFL ownership club, they might want to address a major diversity scandal brewing in their own house. I refer here not to the exclusion of women from the NFL, although I could... What is difficult to justify, however, is the veritable exclusion of Asian-American and, even more incredibly, Mexican-American men from the NFL. An analysis of Irsay's AFC South division reveals a shocking lack of genuine diversity, a shortfall that is representative of the NFL in general. Of the 208 players in the division, there are no Japanese or Chinese-Americans and only two players of any kind of Hispanic descent. According to the U,S, Census Bureau, Hispanics make up 15.4 cent of the American population, but less than 1 percent of the AFC South and of the NFL in general. Asian Americans make up 4.5 percent of the American population and zero percent of the NFL unless one includes Scott Fujita, a Caucasian adopted by a Japanese family.
Luckily I'm not a fan of any professional football team. I root for the Detroit Lions.

If we’re integrated there, well, I want to see 50% female linebacker representation.

I hear the 'First Lady' is looking for a Sunday job ...

What is MOST upsetting is the utter lack of LGBT players in the NFL. At least the ones out of the closet.

LOL!!! (I presume you are saying that tongue-in-cheek, just like the tone of Cashill's entire article.)

This is a good satire by Cashill. It's about time the pompous left-leaning NFL got their comeuppance, and he does it in a humorous way.

The mention of "the token hiring of" New York Jets' QB Mark Sanchez, which "does not begin to address this injustice [against Hispanic Americans]," brings to mind to silly promotion by the NFL in conjunction with the Jets-Dolphins ESPN game last Monday night. They apparently used Sanchez' presence (with or without his consent - well, as a rookie he was hardly in a position to say "no," lest he be tabbed as a malcontent) as an ploy to stage a "Hispanic Heritage Night" in Miami. It was accompanied with such absurdities as the referee explaining the first penalty of the game in Spanish (by prearrangement, which drew some booing from the crowd, even though the call was against the visiting Jets) and a few totally Spanish-language commercials on the English-language station, which were obviously out of place.

BTW, Cashill really shouldn't joke that "no one has yet to die from an errant pass or a missed block," because there have been very rare deaths on football fields over the years.

I think Affirmative Action in the NFL should allow Hillary Clinton and Madeline Albright to take the field for the Washington Redskins (oops, such a politically incorrect name).

and why teams are allowed to focus so exclusively on athletic prowess is something that should concern all politically correct Americans!!!

where is the opportunity for everyone of varying physical and mental abilities? Albore should be playing linebacker for the Tennessee Titans (of course they way they’re playing, maybe he is and just can’t take the helmet off his fat head for all to see him).

until 10% of NFL players are openly avowed members of the “LGBT community” the NFL should be denied all use of publicly funded stadiums and facilities.

What an outrage that a blatantly homophobic entity like the NFL is even allowed to exist!!

and all those quarterbacks waiting for the snap and not even allowed to enjoy feeling up the center.... rampant homophobia!!!

[SARCASM, folks]
