Man Accused In Doughnut Store Robbery
SALINAS, Calif. -- A man accused of trying to rob the same Salinas gas station store three times in 10 days was arrested early Thursday.
Police said Issac Rodriguez, 26, tried to rob the Quik Stop at 339 Williams Road for the third time at about 1:10 a.m. on Thursday.
Rodriguez is accused of claiming he had a gun while trying to take beer, snacks and cigarettes during two separate robberies -- one on Oct. 5 and another on Tuesday, police said.
During the second robbery, Rodriguez went into the store with another person and said he was a norteno gang member before telling the clerk not to move and to hand over cigarettes. The victim refused and both Rodriguez and the unidentified person fled.
Police said that on Thursday, Rodriguez went to the store alone and confronted the clerk. But before he could complete the robbery, Rodriguez saw officers outside and he was taken into custody.
Rodriguez also matches the description of the culprit of an attempted robbery of Winchell's Donuts in Salinas last month, police said.

He should run for Congress, they reward failure.

Idiot probably messed with the powdered and leaving finger prints everywhere, they fingered him!
Norteno? Use that one in the Monterey County Jail. That will go over well.
