My guess is the majority of the American people will just change the channel and go back to sleep.
After the 50 year barrage of social conditioning via television, I just don’t believe Americans have the will to do anything other than stand in line. There may be a few who fight back, but IMHO this will go straight down the memory hole. Six months after this becomes law very few will care. It will be all about this seasons American Idol.
Or to defend themselves from the coming depression. Our government is going to take so much of what people have earned, people will go Galt. The economy will crash, and food will be scarce. Why work to support everyone else when all your needs will be met if you don't? Welfare will be overloaded to the point where no one will be fed.
This has happened to every Socialist society before us, and it will happen again. Socialism never works.
Imagine a teacher adding up the classes test scores and giving all the students an averaged grade. The class may get a "B" at first.
The next test will come out lower, because the students have figured out they could get a free ride on the knowledge of other students. The class may get a "C".
The next test, everyone fails. Why study when the passing grades are free? Even the best students eventually decide it isn't worth the hassle to study like heck and and get a lesser (maybe even failing) grade just so the lazy could get their grades for free. Why shouldn't they get a free ride, too?
Knowing the marxist revolutionaries that are at the controls, I am CONFIDENT that “we” are not the ones causing the shortage of ammo.
