The Dad was doing the back step when Blitz questioned further...Dad's mind appeared to be racing, trying to figue out what to do, and finally decided not to allow Blitz to pursue this line of question...
If this was legitimate, the Dad would have no problem with allowing the kid speak freely.
That reeked bad.

LOL actually, Im re watching it and the kids says I thought you said we did it for the show? That could mean anything. Picture it this way...dad finds the little brat hiding. Then confronts the older kid for saying his brother was on the balloon. They just do the usual little kid crap and say i dont know. Then dad says you guys will do anything for a show! Now on live television the little brat cant think of anything to say so he just repeats what his dad said to him.I watched it again myself and focused upon the two older boys faces and body language and their reactions to me was not 'guilt' at having done anything 'wrong'. They looked like they were observing a couple of 'directors' (parents) playing out a con job.

The family from Colorado hoodwinked a lot of folks today...
They almost got away with it until the tired little kid exposed their game.

The family from Colorado hoodwinked a lot of folks today... They almost got away with it until the tired little kid exposed their game. I was nauseated when that balloon hit ground at the prospects of a 6 year old being dead. And had to leave the room because I just did NOT want to 'see' his removal from that 'hot' air balloon.
And now I am just repulsed that these parents USED their own children to get themselves in front of a camera. It was the reactions of the two older boys that told me this was a 'show' put on by a couple of attention starved twits.
BUT is it not just a bit humorous that BamaKennedy finally goes when the weather cools down to New Orleans to visit ground zero of liberalville that Mother Nature exposed a few years back and he tooooo USES a child to pump up his deflated political balloon....
I can at least laugh that his 'show' got preempted by another 'literal' hot air balloon story.

Not personally. I’ve read a lot about them. Duggars are Christians who homeschool all their kids and the children reflect their upbringing. Ever watch them?

I heard on WMAL (just before the Rush Limbaugh Show today 10/16) that a video had surfaced showing the family launching the balloon.
I read in comments section at KDVR that the kid had toys and food in the garage attic where he was hiding.

This entire affair is unraveling for these parents...
They interviewed a landlord from So. Cal who said the kids were totally unsupervised and when the family left, the kids had written all over the walls etc...
The kid is so rattled this morning, he vomited twice during interviews....Dad look as though he were in shock...
This is really sad....Dad is clearly a media hound and has demonstrated he'll do just about anything for notoriety.
Pretty amazing the lengths some people will go to for their desires.

We don’t have television at our house anymore. What I know about the incident has come from radio and the Internet, which is quite enough, btw.
I was thinking about all the prayers said for the little boy,and that family, including my own from the time I heard about it. They really do need prayers. We’ve just learned that it is for a different reason.
My heart breaks for those children. The stress must be unimaginable for that little six year old being used in those television interviews. It’s unconscionable. The ignorance of those parents is breathtaking.

In an
exclusive interview, the
Gawker states that Robert Thomas spent several months earlier this year working on developing a reality science TV show to pitch to networks
the "show," Thomas says, that Falcon was referring to when he told CNN "We did it for the show." Among the ideas that Heene, Thomas and two others came up with for their reality TV proposal and one that he says most intrigued Heene involved a weather balloon modified to look like a UFO which they would launch in an attempt to drum up media interest in both the Heene family and the series he was desperate to get on the air. Still, Thomas never imagined that Heene would involve his six-year-old son in what he is certain was a "global media hoax" to further Richard Heene's own celebrity.
