Rush is a public figure, so he would have to prove “malice” or that those involved KNEW it was false, at the time, but that should not be hard to do.

Besides, slander and libel do not require loss of actual money amounts...but Rush makes the sort of general statement "lost nothing" - I can see some wisea$$ lawyer trying to say that he must have believed that his reputation, earning ability, and regard in the eyes of the public would be included here and thus he must not have thought he had been slandered or libeled.....

He did say something about "gathering evidence" - I hope that means big lawsuits against CNN, the racist ministers and anybody else he can target - even if he doesn't win, at least he should be able to get on the public record that he never made the statements he was accused of making.....
