A little side information, I talked to an infectious disease doctor recently and where he works they recently discussed taking a closer look at the usually more serious part of the flu, ie pneumonia/lung infection. While not yet a policy (at his facility)it looks like pneumonia shots might be a good idea especially for those with higher risk.

I’m still undecided on either flu shot but got the ppv vaccine even though I am not over 65 yrs. As always consult your physician.

Perhaps it would be wise to take Vit D instead.

Vit D helps immune system fight off flu.....

My daughters are high risk (asthma & epilepsy). I asked the asthma doctor about getting the pneumonia shot, and he recommended it. Last week, my girls got their seasonal flu and the pneumonia shot.
