Dungy thought Rush Limbaugh should have had the opportunity to go through the whole process of applying to buy an NFL team.
Dungy said that the owners of the teams should have been able to vote on Limbaugh's bid. Not the general public.
Dungy said judging potential owners on external things can be very dangerous. It takes a more thorough process.
"We don't have any minority ownership in the NFL right now, Dungy said. "It's the same thing."

I would have been really disappointed in Dungy if he had taken another position. Rush gave him a lot of time to promote his book.
the Coach is decent and sane, as always
One again MajaRushy was playing chess while the empty heads and race pimps in the MSM where playing checkers. He wil parlay this into a positive outcome. And like all of us have said..it happened for a reason. Rush made the case that this would have been significant investment for him and tied up a good portion of his wealth and could have ended badly. The new Black racists reared their head. The NFL likes the system of spoiled, outrageous characters pushing around flacid owners for bloated salaries and even more outrageous demands like changing your jersey name to OchoCinco. Rush would have gotten that franchise profitable and not put up with the antics. You can get rich in America 4 ways, Inherit it, make it in crime, make it your God and Make it the right way. Most uber sports, music and entertainment rich fall in the 3rd category.
Does anyone else find it ironic that a mensch like Dungy worked for a bunch of putzes like the Irsay family???
What is really absurd is that the Media is concluding that because the NFL is 70% Black that the players are automatically against an outspoken conservative as an NFL owner. I think that being paid to perform at a hight competitive level would tend to make you a conservative. Not always, but in most cases.
Sportswriters? Different story all together.
Yep.
Pinging you to this thread of interest to Rush listeners as a courtesy.
I listened to Dan Partick on the way to work and of course he did not mention the 500 lb gorilla, Olbermann.
Now that it’s over the man shows sooo much courage.
Point is valid. Would have still been valid had he made a few days ago when it mattered.
I’m not sure that’s fair. Dungy really doesn’t have a dog in the fight. My bet is people weren’t beating down Dungy’s door for a response because if he backed Rush it might hurt their agenda.
I intend to boycott the NFL and several black owned (liberal hussein supporting) businesses I have bought BBQ and / or beer for the past 20+ years.
People don’t wait to be asked when they see a good man being brutilized with lies.
And endorsed Obama’s presidency.
John Stallworth, former player and African American, is part of the Steelers ownership group.
Race traitor! (/s) Actually, Dungy’s a class act (even if he made the mistake of endorsing the O).
