It's not unusual for 'natural born' American citizens to be born abroad, particularly in active duty military families. Our second daughter was born in Germany - in an American military hospital. We registered her birth with the American embassy. Upon returning to the US when she was just three years old, we went to the nearest Federal building and had her confirm in person her desire to be an American citizen. When asked her name, she replied Rachel Rose Mills d'America.' Totally unprompted, 100% true. (name altered to protect the innocent)

I do not believe that the rules were the same at the time of 0bama’s birth, which is a significant issue. He would have to be “natural born” based on the rules for “natural born” that were in effect at the time.

Sure, but those children are born to parents who are American citizens. Obama’s father was a British citizen.

Again you confuse NATURAL BORN and plain old citizen.

Was Barry O.’s mother or father working for our embassy or something? We know neither were in the armed services and no were near a U.S. base.
