Many say Ryan could have won but I still doubt it. Zer0 still would have outspent him by a large margin, and IL went heavily for Kerry. I think they were just in a Demo mood again that year.
Jack Ryan was stupid. He was married to one of the most beautiful women in the world. Why would any sane person risk that?
Not to be too contrary to a good idea (using current events to teach your children) but just to be fair, in this case Jack Ryan never had a problem “keeping it in his pants”. His problem was that he asked his wife to have sex in a public place. He didn’t want her to have sex with someone else, or have someone else join them.
So while he was perverted, at LEAST he still wanted to be faithful to his wife.
I’ll never understand why he ever suggested public sex, or even how serious the suggestion was. I know that a democrat would never have been hurt by such an allegation.
