A casual FR reader seeing only “I defended ... my property.” and not following the link might assume that “defense of property = OK to kill”, which is a very dangerous assumption.

“You did not go to the Link [sic] and use the appropriate Quote [sic] that reflected the facts.” So, you have a keystroke monitor on my computer?

“Axe to grind [?]” Yes. All too much concealed firearms “training” is nothing more than macho BS. The low end of what passes for “training” in Florida is a 40minute to two hour session of war stories followed by ONE .22 round fired (often into a sand barrel). Discussion of deadly force laws are slim; usually none. Caveat emptor. (And, no, I don’t train concealed carry in Florida).

“defend ... against an Armed [sic] Intruder [sic]? Depends on what you say afterwards - and it better include something along the line of “I was in fear of loosing my life. I thought I’d be killed.”

Where I live there is a whole range of training levels that meet the requirement for a CCW permit.

You feel that the Training required in Florida is inadequate. Have you signed up for advanced training?

Or are you uncomfortable with the people around you having CCW permits with the minimal requirement?

Some people feel that No level of training is adequate and want to disarm all Citizens.

A study has shown that CCW holders actually have a better Hit ratio than Police officers.

A few years ago in Portland Oregon Officers Fired 27 rounds at a fleeing Felon near a MAX light rail station and only hit him three times.

All those Projectiles had to go somewhere, certainly putting citizens at risk.

It can be inferred that either you followed the link and chose to use the “Property” quote instead of the “Threat” quote or you did not follow the link because the “Property” quote matched your world view and you were not interested in the actual facts.

More complete Facts of the Story can only be found by following the link.

Casual consumers of “News” may never know the Truth.
If they wait around long enough it may eventually come to light.
But, perhaps not.

Do we want to perpetuate this kind of Laziness?

If we want to make good decisions it is our responsibility to search out the facts.

Otherwise no one needs to read Blogs and the MSM is enough.
