Jaycee Dugard, two months after resurfacing from 18 years in captivity, has released her first personal statement to People magazine, along with photos of herself as an adult.
I'm so happy to be back with my family," she told the magazine. "Nothing is more important than the unconditional love and support I have from them."

I wonder how her former step-father is being treated. Since he was essentially treated like a suspect/perpetrator for 18 years. Bet he’s being totally ignored, and has not received an apology for his treatment.
I was wondering what Whoopie Goldbreg’s take on this is...was it “rape-rape?”
He was hauled in several times and given lie detector tests that he passed. But since he was the only witness, he was the prime suspect. Meanwhile the woman matched his description.
And Jaycee’s mother and he split up from the stress. I feel really badly for him. He said he saw her snatched and all he had was a bicycle to chase after them. I hope the guy is able to put his life back together, too.

Police have been no more successful. For the moment, in fact, they have only one bit of information that could be a clue: Carl's description of the woman in the car as Indian or Pakistani, with jet-black hair and dark eyes.
She looks great! Especially great considering what she’s been through.
She looks beautiful. I pray she can overcome what she has been through. May God bless her.
